Windows Mobile applications can be distributed on the Web or through the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. To compress and package application files for distribution, Windows Mobile uses Cabinet files, designated with the .cab extension. To distribute your application, you need to build your application as a signed CAB file. The following section provides an overview of the process required to release the "hello world" application built in the previous section.
