Voice Search

What if you want to search, but don't have the time or room to do all the typing for your search terms? The Google Quick Search widget is also a voice search widget. Just click the microphone icon next to the text box and speak when prompted, as shown in Figure 10-8. Google will attempt to interpret what you say and search as if you'd typed in text.

Now, this process isn't perfect by any stretch. It won't work well in noisy environments, and it doesn't always interpret exotic words. For example, trying to search for "Marziah" usually ends up launching a search for "Malaysia." However, "Barbecue in Kansas City" is a search that usually gets results.
